Hi Friends!
This is your Hard Money Lender in Tucson and the Southern Arizona area, Billy A with more Nationwide Mortgage news from my friend Herman Thordsen (www.lendinglaw.com). There are a series of changes in employment and other laws you may want to pay close attention to. Here are the headlines:
1. Why it pays to make sure the QC Plan for your HUD loans is current and thereby reduce the probability that HUD will ask you to indemnify loans.
2. In Bankruptcy the servicer had better be able to prove it has a proper assignment of the note and deed of trust. Read the transfer documents carefully when a lender transfers the loan. You may be pleasantly surprised in event of bankruptcy and foreclosure issues arising.
3. Some new laws in California and other states on minimum wage, privacy notices on web sites and other issues. Read carefully or learn the hard way.
4. Amerisave Mortgage to pay potential borrowers $3.1 million for improper charges. Read what they are and do not make the same mistakes.
5. California Trust deed investor saves money by not retaining attorney to validate borrower credibility and waits to long to sue the broker. Investor loses.
6. San Diego, California loan officer gets 2-1/2 years in prison for mortgage fraud.
7. San Francisco man outdoes San Diego and gets 12 years in prison for mortgage fraud.
8. Florida man pleads guilty to massive mortgage fraud scheme and he makes number 19 in the one scheme.
