Hi Friends!
This is your Hard Money Lender in Tucson and the Southern Arizona area, Billy A with a new report from my friend, Alan Mandelberg, the President of Real Estate Investment and Exchange (REIE). He shares with us important information from Fran Buerman, the Senior Account Manager at Exeter who sponsored the last REIE marketing meeting. Fran’s organization accommodates delayed exchanges. However, Alan purports that her talk was broader in scope than just discussing delayed exchanges. One of her handouts is included in this post.
The first is an account of recent changes in Federal tax rates and rules. The second handout deals with the specifics of the tax surtax that is part of the Affordable Healthcare Act. In regard to the latter it turns out that most taxpayers, including all those whose income is a result of being active in real estate do not have to worry about the new 3.8% additional income. It is, however, a worry to higher income individuals whose income is not primarily from being in the real estate business. For such individuals, as Fran points out, there should be additional motivation to trade rather than just sell their real estate.
Thank you Alan and Fran for this important information. To download a copy of the Federal tax Rate and Rules document click below:
For those interested in the second hand out, please send us an email request and we will forward a copy to you.
